Well, I’m not sure how it happened, but suddenly it’s the end of summer again. Yes, that means the end of vacay, the end of summer internships, the end of reading books of your choosing purely for pleasure, but it also means it’s time to welcome all of the new students arriving on our campuses. It’s time for Orientation!
The undergraduate New Student Orientation Program kicks off next week, and CUarts will be there in full force, introducing a new crop of undergrads to our programs. Graduate school orientation, however, has already begun, and this morning saw the Columbia University Medical Center welcoming the incoming Class of 2014 at their annual Welcome Expo. Fellow summer associate Sam Reisman and I were on hand to answer any and all questions the new med students might have about the Arts Initiative and its affiliated programs: Passport to New York, ArtsLink, the Gatsby Fund, and more.
Keep your eyes peeled for CUarts during your school’s orientation; we’ll be the ones in the ArtsLink t-shirts (just like in the picture!), and we’re ready and happy to answer your questions about the arts, at Columbia and beyond.
Enjoy these final days of summer, and we’ll see you in the coming weeks!
